As we approach Christmas we will look firstly at two Old Testament messianic prophecies, then at some key New Testament passages that bring us to the birth of Jesus. Each passage looks at what God was saying and doing, as well at what response is needed from his people, thus bringing us right into the heart of the unfolding story of God’s salvation plan. The biblical examples we will look at are focused on the promised Messiah coming as Jesus, as Lord; our focus is to keep on preparing and shaping our lives so that through our example Jesus can still come to others as Lord.
