Jonah.

Once we get past Jonah’s every desire to want to run away from the calling of the Lord on his life, we get to the main emphasis of his message. Jonah was mostly concerned for himself to begin with. The Lord was asking him to take His word to the people of Nineveh, but Jonah knew they didn’t much like Israelites, especially preachy ones. Yet, the message of the whole book is about selflessness. The concern of the Lord is for all people and nations of the world – even our enemies. Our response is to serve the Lord by sharing His message with anyone and everyone. Who do we find it hard to share faith with? How can we help each other to do that?
