Oasis - Tuesdays 10-12:30am

Oasis is an informal group for women meeting each Tuesday morning in term-time.  We chose our name because we wanted to provide a place during the week for refreshment and relaxation together – an oasis.

Although the group was originally set up mainly by young mums, it is open to all ages (the oldest members are over 60).  The only qualification is that you must be female!

We enjoy a variety of activities, from chatting over coffee and biscuits, sharing problems and supporting each other through prayer and in practical ways, Bible study and talks by leading Christians on CD and DVD.  Outdoor meetings have included bluebell and prayer walks in the Lickey Hills Country Park and walking the Bromsgrove Town Trail;   the Jinney Ring is a favourite place for coffee (and shopping!). 

Having recently lost several members who have moved away, we are at present a very small group.  This makes it difficult to draw up a whole term’s programme so we are for the foreseeable future deciding on our activities week-by-week.  Details will be published in the church news sheet, or phone Christine on 01527 877483 for information.

Oasis is a great opportunity to get to know people better and make new friends.  If you would like to give us a try then please ring for details of activities and venues.  We would love to see you, even if you can only come now and then.
